Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza on Saturday October 25th!


Le Casino de Monte-Carlo and Golden Gloves are pleased to announce a unique line up for the fifth edition of the Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza.

Monte-Carlo Boxing BonanzaThe organisation of four boxing tournaments since March 2013 has returned Monaco to the European ranks as a city of reference in high performance boxing.

The first two tournaments that took place on March 30th and July 13th, 2013, known as Monte – Carlo Million Dollar Super Four, were staged during a same night as the WBA World Championships European titles as well as a single playoff between 4 stars of the boxing world, the “SUPER 4“.

On February 1st, 2014, a new boxing tournament entitled Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza was held at the Salle des Étoiles with Champion Gennady Golovkin.

The last event to date, “KO at the Casino” was held on June 21st, 2014, in the prestigious Salle Médecin in the Casino de Monte-Carlo in front of an exclusive audience of 300 fans. It consisted of 4 international fights including a world title and a prestigious battle between the English champion Martin Murray and the Ukrainian Max Bursak.


For this new edition, Monte-Carlo Boxing Bonanza promises yet again to deliver 4 great fights of which two World Championships and two prestigious international fights.

As during previous boxing tournaments, the traditional boxers weigh-in will gather challengers, coaches and the public.

Saturday 25th October, 2014 at 6:30 pm
Sporting Monte-Carlo – Salle des Étoiles
The event will be broadcast around the world, including China, USA, Canada, Western Europe, and Africa… Many English and South African fans will be present to encourage their champions. Once more the atmosphere will be dynamic and athletic and the evening worthy of major meetings organized in the Principality.


At 6:30 pm:
An amateur fight includes Hugo Micallef, young Monegasque boxing talent, currently France Junior Champion, and still undefeated. His opponent, Amazigh Abrouk is a left-handed boxer with an eloquent prize list, including Junior Vice-Champion of France 2014. He is considered as a stylist.


Starting at 7 pm:

  • WBA/IBO Minimumweight World Title – 12 Rounds

 Xiong Zhao Zhong (China) Vs. Hekkie Budler (South Africa)

The event includes a major fight representing a double world title.


  • IBF Bantamweight World Title – 12 Rounds

Randy Caballero (USA) Vs. Stuart Hall (Great Britain)
A large audience follows these two super lightweights challengers. Many British fans will make the trip in the Principality to encourage Stuart Hall.


  • WBC Light Heavyweight Silver Belt – 12 rounds

Eleider Alvarez (Colombia) Ryno Liebenberg (South Africa)
The two boxers are very well ranked respectively WBC no. 12 and no. 4.


  • WBC Middleweight Silver Belt – 12 Rounds

Domenico Spada (Italy) vs Martin Murray (England)
British boxer Martin Murray is ranked number 1 in the WBC. He is famous in the United Kingdom and close to one hundred of his fans will be visiting the Principality to see his fight. Domenico Spada is ranked number 9 in the WBC and will receive much support from the crowd.
