Earth Hour at the restaurant Elsa

Saturday, 24 March 2018: The new date is set for Earth Hour 2018 at the Monte-Carlo Beach!

What is Earth Hour? It’s a gourmet dinner that combines the green philosophy behind the Earth Hour world movement initiated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). During Earth Hour, all lights are turned off and all non-essential electric appliances are unplugged from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. The idea is to promote saving electricity and consequently the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to counteract global warming.

The Monte-Carlo Beach has always been a visionary and beacon of sustainable development, advocating the importance of a healthy and balanced environment. Just imagine: an extraordinary 100% organic meal prepared by Paolo Sari, in an idyllic seaside setting and the warm, intimate glow of candlelight.

Monaco is also participating by switching off the lights at the Prince’s Palace and in government buildings such as the Ministry of State, Tourist Office, Rainier III Auditorium, palace guard barracks, fire stations, etc.

Join us and the millions of other participants all over the world in the Earth Hour movement: Let’s turn off our lights on Saturday, 24 March from 8:30pm to 9:30pm!
